If you don’t like seeing nurses in cheap scrubs walking around hospitals attending to the many different patients, there’s a few things you can take care of yourself in order to ensure that you stay out of hospital as long as you possibly can.
Eating healthily is by far the most obvious thing to do if you want to remain healthy as long as you can and stay out of the doctor’s surgery. Start by making yourself a healthy-eating plan; this will help you to stay on track for longer. Consider setting yourself a certain amount of meals per day, or even counting calories if that’s what works best for you.
Make sure that you get enough sleep. It’s essential to rest for as long as your body needs. Some people won’t need as much sleep as others; however, the average you should aim to have is 7-8 hours per day. It’s important that you get the balance, because sleeping for too long can also have a negative effect and, perhaps ironically, it may make you too lethargic and tired.
Drinking enough water is another of the best things that you can do for your body. It cleanses your kidneys, keeps your skin beautiful and healthy and prevents you from becoming dehydrated. Eight glasses of water a day is the recommended amount; however, drinking a bit more than that won’t do you any harm, just as long as you don’t drink too much. As with everything, moderation is the key.
Finally, smoking and drinking alcohol are two of the worst possible things that you can do to your body. Apart from all the dangers of cancers and liver and heart disease, both of these things will damage your skin and bring on health problems that you can do without.
To stay clear of hospitals, nursing scrubs and anything else associated with the medical industry, stick to a few basic rules and you’ll keep as healthy as possible.
